Socoder -> Web Development -> Apache .htaccess check

Fri, 09 Mar 2007, 15:59

Hey all,

I've been playing around with .htaccess and got a 77% reduction of page sizes with gzip compression too.

I'm not to confident about the Netscape 4 support part though, or if I've done anything silly.

Any Apache wizards out there with some free seconds, could you please take just a quick skim through this short code:

It hopefully handles gzip compression, with netscape 4 support, adding www. to the beginning of the domain if not already there, and error handling.

Are there any obvious mistakes?

Will I actually catch all those 400 and 500 errors with this, or will some never get caught by my pages anyway?

Thanks everyone.
