Did Monkey ever re-get an official Linux target? I remember the very earliest version had it, but then it was dropped and when I quit using Monkey it still hadn't got Linux back.

The Desktop forum has a lot of Linux'y comments. I'm assuming, based on that, that it does. Although, thinking about it, they may all be Wine users.

I've not looked at Monkey in ages, but I do know that a standard Linux port won't work.

Linux targets are x86. The Raspberry Pi is an ARM architecture so it won't work.

Monkey will need to have a specific target for the Pi.

Doesn't that depend on the compiler, though?
Monkey generates a plain C output, so you should be able to feed that through most basic c compiler... .. Right?

Hit F8 to "update" the build, then open up the build folder.
In there is a main.cpp, which.. And I might be completely incorrect, so apologies if I am, but it appears to be all the code, for "monkey" and my game.
You can sift through seeing all my variable names and everything.

The data, gfx, sound, etc are held in the external folder, and not internally compiled, so .. Logically, it should just be a case of finding a compiler that works with it.

Worth a try, at least, right??!

MX1 does support Linux, but I havent used it.
