Less than a month after changing cars and the replacement car breaks down on the way to work - at least it did it before a parking space

Cars are just like women. Can't live with'em. Can't live without'em. And they cost a damned fortune.

I'm living perfectly fine without one.

And I don't have a car, either.

Ah, but you've got your Mum Jay. Where would you be without her?

And due to your ill-health going out at all is not possible/required (for the most part).

We live at the arse-end of beyond - when our car's broke down in the past it's like having your legs cut off. You literally cannot go anywhere (without at least a three mile walk to the nearest "convenience store" and back).

Yep, we are also on the pimple at the arse-end of beyond. Thankfully, my car broke down 400 yards short of one of the few intersections in the area. First time I've seen ice grow inwards from the periphery of my windscreen. Seems like the Matrix was not content to wait until NEXT Wednesday for me to change the fuel filter - it wanted it doing yesterday when it was -3 Degrees C. Still, recovery only took 2.5 hours.

I could probably do with a car if I'm honest but there's no way in hell I can afford one at the moment.
