I know but it's like when they take The Chase off for that Babushka shit that was on a few weeks ago. Or that other one where they have to answer a load of questions before a line catches up with them. When stuff works, like The Chase does, and Countdown did... you just don't meddle with it. Fair do's, Richard Whiteley couldn't help dying. But he WAS countdown. Any replacement is just a pretender to the throne. Plus didn't they adopt the "grand final" format for all the regular shows now? That's wrong too! Bit of waffle, letters, letters, letters, numbers, ad break, bit more waffle, letters, letters, letters, numbers, conundrum. <<THAT is the Countdown format!! Other things missing: Giles Brandreth and his amazing knitwear. Richard Stilgoe and his anagrams. That cartoonist bloke who couldn't actually draw. Vorderman? Nah.... stuck up cow! |

Giles and Stilgoe still occasionally pop up, although nowhere near as much as they used to. Since the move to Salford, they now seem to grab random passing celebs, and there's been a ton of variety. .. but, Yeah, the regular guests aren't as regular as they once were. Even this week, with the current series Grand Final bring tomorrow, it hasn't had the usual regular big-name in dictionary corner. The finals no longer feel big and important.. just another episode. But it's still a good gameshow, and it's still fun to watch. It's the same... but different. -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''
