I loved the book (I've read pretty much everything Stephen King has done - except Tommyknockers; that was shit!) and the old tv mini-series, so I'm really looking forward to it. Yeah, Pennywise isn't Tim Curry, but it could still be good

IT was actually my very first King book. I've been into horror since I was a kid; watching the old b&w movies, Hammer House of Horror and Tales Of THe Unexpected etc. Love them all. They're incredibly tame by modern standards, but still are better at telling a good story than 90% of horror today.

Why IT again?
There's gotta be 100 by now, right?
Why pick the same ones over and over again?

Bit of variety, filmypeeps!!

It's only been done once and it was a made-for-tv mini-series (2 episodes). The mini-series did a good job of recreating the book, but it still missed out a lot and rushed through some of the bits it did cover. Hopefully a two part film will include more and update the original's piss-poor special effects.

So, yeah, I think this is one film (well, two), that probably does deserve and warrants a remake/update.
