Trying to go to sleep listening to The Prodigy. It's not working.

I often find it odd what does/doesn't send me to sleep.

My favourite is Animal Crossing. It's a nice relaxing game and tends to shut my brain down after a days coding.

White noise is normally my weapon of choice.

I bought one of those Binaural noise apps, a while back, but you need headphones on, and I can't bloody well sleep like that!!!!

This site's quite nice. Has a lovely Cat Purr!

No issues on the sleeping front here... as soon as the auld noggin hits the pillow... drool proveils!

Though I am an early riser as well, regardless of what time I nod off!

As I am a massive weeb I find a lifesize anime pillow pretty comfy to snuggle up to sleep with most nights.

Well, got all the way to 3am before I worked out that a medley of hits by The Prodigy, Utah Saints, The Grid, Apollo 440, Beastie Boys etc ain't exactly music to go to sleep with. Had to resort to the auld white noise!

I have headphones on - the in-ear type. Not so bad once you get used to it. Biggest problem is when the fuckers either fall out, or you've turned over, and over, and nearly garroted yourself with the wire.

I'm with Dabz here - asleep in nano-seconds and always wake early, despite going to bed after midnight most of the time. That's what working shit shifts for 25years does to you. I could fall asleep laying on a razor blade!

Yeah, but I do put in a full days work, which is generally very active and walk about 5-10miles a day with my dogs. By the time I've also cooked dinner and everything else (DIY, caught up here, fb, emails, downloading programmes etc. etc. ) I have no time left and am constantly knackered. That's another reason why I don't release many games or get to play them.

Getting out, having a job, talking to people, being able to cook, diy and other stuff...
...

Lucky git...

Depends which way you look at it, but I'd definitely rather have my life as it is than yours. I was just saying why I'm able to sleep so well.

A person looking in at your world may say that you're life is the ideal - you have all this time to code, play games, you have all these nice new gadgets, you don't have any worries. Blah blah blah. Now I know this isn't the case, but to some...

I've never been able to get to sleep at a regular time, not even in hospital. I would stay up late at night, typing blog entries into my phone at 3 in the morning!!

And yes, I'm certainly lucky.
Lucky that I've always been mostly a loner. Lucky that I have the majority of my community online instead of IRL.
I'm lucky that I'm a very cheery person who just tends to carry on regardless.
Because, after 5.5 years being stuck in practically the same room, anyone else probably would've lost their nuts!!!!

I think I already did that during my childhood!

Never underestimate the ability to go out for a walk without needing someone there.

Holy hell am I tired now...

This week I've just been really early with sleeping, probably the 10k walks everyday either to/ form or occasionally both directions to / from work. I've not done any ASM in...almost a week!

Seems every night is a bad night lately, and fuck knows what happened last night but I was wide awake and listening to music til gone 6am, then up again at 9.

I don't feel tired at all, just feel normal. But I might hit "the wall" by tea time.
