Love how they've made the back of the phone out of glass now. So when you drop it (because you will), it'll be fucked regardless of which way up it lands.

Tech-wise - nothing new. Same old shit, as expected.

We've had plenty of glass-backed phones.. Even a bunch of previous iPhones have been glass backed. That's nothing new.
That price point, though. That's new..
And FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK!!!

Oh....so the one thing I thought was new... isn't?

Still... come launch day there'll no doubt be a long line of daft bastards queueing up til the wee small hours. But looking at the total lack of any significant advances, and the ridiculous price, you can't help feeling that Apple are dredging the bottom of the pond with this one.

But I did like how they've "done a Microsoft" in completely ignoring the existence of the number 9. Monkey see, monkey do.

Not only that, but releasing 8 and 10 at the same time.
What the hell is that even about!?!

The SE is still a capable phone, and it's moderately affordable by Apple standards, too.
If you desperately want an iPhone, that'd be my recommendation. I have one, as do my Mum and Sister, and mine's currently running iOS11 exceptionally well.

My "work" phone is an iPhone 4. Got given it. It does the job.

And I didn't even want that - my brother was going to give me his old Galaxy S3, but he couldn't find it which is how I ended up with the iPhone.

£1,000 for a sodding phone!

and for an extra 192GB of storage, that'll be another £150 or so?

What? In the world?

I envision a bunch of sheep, flocking near the apple store, bleating "b-u-u-u-y... b-u-u-u-y..."

If anything, I'd rather have the new 4G iWatch over the phone... Would be nice just to ditch the brick in the pocket!

Wouldn't you feel like a bit of a numptard though, talking to your wrist?

Probably!

But then I thought hands free was a numpard thing as well when that first came out, people wandering about with a deaf aid thing in their ear, having a chinwag... Now people are doing just that and it looks the norm... I also thought video calls were a bit "You wouldnt catch me doing that", but, I probably now facetime more people then standard calls!!!

Ad to be fair as well... My phone calls are just generally short and sweet... Defo not like my text messages... Them things are biblical! hehehe
