Quite sad really. A gnat's cock under seven years just to get there, 13 years of poking about and taking pictures the like of which was unthinkable just 50 years ago, and now (at 11:40BST) it's got barely an hour of it's life left before we send it into oblivion.

No, it really is. It's done a sterling job but there's still shit-tons more we could learn.

On the other hand, better to deliberately destroy it while they can, rather than have it floating around the universe as an uncontrolled piece of space junk. And hopefully it'll get some good Saturny info on the way down.
