This morning...

Dug all that out and even onto the road, free'd and desnowed the car... A mate walked past and said "Bet you didnt think you'd be doing that while you were sunning yourself in Thailand eh?"

Knob! hehehe

Well, they're technically in administration and still trading but they're very much circling the drain. If they can't find a buyer soon, and they've been trying for months without success, then that'll be that. Best hope now is that somebody picks up the company for a knockdown price, together with all their debts. Basically a madman with more money than sense.

@Dabz - apparently there's a shit ton more of it coming your way in the next 24 hours.... so, probably wasted your time there!

I was fooking knackered... Even done around the back of the house, around the bins... Shifted loads...

I also helped a neighbour, she's polish, single, pretty, never really talked to her before until now... Any port in a snow storm! hehehe

Oh, and Dave...

Aye, I heard, still, rather get the grunt out of the way... It pisses me off though, because I live on a bank and the council took the salt bins away... And I have literally no quarrel with shovelling the bank and chucking salt so we can all get up and down... But alas, the council literally couldnt give a shit, and never provided us with any for years, even after a few of us in the street requested it.

Theres a grit bin outside my kids school. The school won't put it down because "health and safety" (i shit you not).

The council don't do it either.

School's been shut the last two days.

Just watching local news - abandoned cars about four miles away from here, buried up to the roof in snowdrifts.

Glad we did the shopping before it hit. We won't be going anywhere for the next two days at least. Oh now they're warning about the floods too. Shit.

Oh aye... Theres plenty of water sitting out there at the minute, dont think it would be bad if its a gentle thaw, but you know what this country's weather is like, minus six one day, then a rainy 14 degree day the next.

So, we'll have "The Great Snow Storm of 2018", then it will be "The Great Flood of 2018"... But I'll bet you my annual wage we wont see a "The Great Heatwave of 2018" in the summer... Just the usual warm rain!

We're a ... little bit flooded but y'know. Paignton. Seaside town.

Thankfully it's not come to far inland.

Everyone a-okay? Just been off on my walkabouts shopping again, thankfully just a bit chilly and weeellll a lil bit slippy. XD

Got supplies for the next couple of days then went into the co-op. bloody nightmare and stank to high heaven, not worth it.

Mum's just been to Tesco. Snow wasn’t too icy, yet, but she says it's certainly getting that way.
No damage here, that I can tell.
Just a very cold neighbour's cat sat on the couch out the back! Poor thing. Ran off before I could grab my camera. Wonder where it went..? Wonder if it's warm..? I should put a little selection of cat beds out there, and a bowl of cat biscuits!

It's minus fucknoze down here, the thermo on my car's dashboard has packed up. What I do know is it's fucking freezing, and snowing on and off but not any fresh layage. Gonna have to bear going out in it in a bit, gotta drive down the chemist to get my meds. Gonna phone them before I go, I would be quite pissed off if I get all the way down there to find out it ain't been done yet.

According to Accuweather it's minus one here, feels a lot colder than that.

We've got a few inches on flat ground and about 8inches in drifts. And it's still snowing. Temp -2c - yesterday got down to -6c.

Neighbour, facing, went out to open his driveway gate.
And the gate fell off..

He then spent a while on the phone, and now there's the same two original guys there, who'd previously (roughly 6 months ago) spent about a week trying to get the gate on in the first place, trying desperately to put it back on again..

Main roads are fine in County Durham, but away from them... Like, where people live... It's still shit!

And I jest you not, some gritters up here never got put out... Apparently... Health and Safety reasons!

I'll wake up soon and be back on the Earth that I remember, because at the minute, the place is a complete whopper!!!

Yesterday, friend of ours saw two gritters gritting the same bloody road, one behind the other.

Why?! Just.... WHY?!

Milton Keynes haven't used any gritters - even on the main roads. Hopefully there'll be hell to pay and someone will get a real good old arse-kicking.

Our bus service stopped before lunchtime apparently; prior to that they were using the main roads only.

And it's still snowing. A good 4+ inches now.

Weather's warmed up quite a bit, and it's rained. Most of the 'normal' snow is gone now.

The 4ft drifts are going to take a bit longer to shift but at least things are moving again....

Starting to thaw up here as well, pleased, for the last few days I've never managed to get the car into the estate, never mind up the bank which I live on... I've had to park the car on the front street over night for the last few days.

Terry is shit in the snow, I think its due to it being an automatic, the main problem around my way is, I live on the south facing side of a valley, and this side literally sees no sun, so its still there... Though, I tried lastnight and a lot has been moved, even up my bank, according to my mam, who lives on the bank the next street along, some fella up the street from her's brought his JCB home with him from work and cleared it into nice big piles, lol... All I can think of is he was getting sick as well!

This has knocked the top off, and the little bit underneath has started to thaw, but if it wasn't for that fella... It would probably be the same.

I think he deserves my council tax this month, because I'll be honest, the fucking council don't... Theyve done the bus route through, and let the rest of us chew on with it.
