Wowie!

The first logo of the people who made iMacs...

That's Isaac Newton, and his apple.

Sir Issac Newton throws down
an apple from Heaven and shouts:

"Long live Steve Wozinak! And the Apples of IIe and IIc
of home computers!"

Hey, did you know that their first computer was just a circuit board and you were meant to wire on the keyboard, screen and case yourself?

There was a photo in the wikipedia entry on Apple of someone using a wooden case for his Mac.

Wowie, a computer made of wood... That's classy!

ahhhh,

started out like a hobbyist kit.

but I didn't know the first one was made out of wood.
whoa! hey, did they get some of the wood from the Tree of Good and Evil. Could of been wood from the Tree of Life. The Apple is still alive and thriving.

sorry for that. I just had too. Couldn't resist the temptation.

But on a more serious note:

I either didn't know or forgot that the first Apple computer wasbuilt with a prototype in wood. I have this book and had it for a long time. And true, its in there and as you said.

The book is called Fire In The Valley:The making of the Personal Computer. The book is by Paul Freiberger and Michael Swaine.

I also have the book The Computers of Star Trek. Its by Lois Gresh and Robert Weinberg. Very interesting book and fun to read. And..um fascinating.
