Socoder -> Question of the Day -> QOTD: How do you keep track of things?

I'm recently getting more and more busy and made a tasklist on my phone to have an overview of all things that still have to happen but I'm fearing this won't be clear enough for me.

QOTD : How do you keep track of all things you have to do?

I don't, which is probably noticable!

Depends. For small tasks I write little post it notes, but I try not to make millions and regularly go through them seeing if there are any to get rid of or do.

For programming I make to-do lists of features. Usually critical features on one side, secondary on the other.

Finally I have all my major and regular tasks stored in my outlook calendar.

Until it broke recently, I always kept track of everything I needed to do on my Dell Axim PDA. It was very quick and easy to have it send an alert warning when an appointment or deadline was coming up. I was kind of shocked to realize how much I depended on that thing after it messed up. I have been trying to get by with just using my cell phone to keep track of tasks, but it just doesn't have the options and ease of use that a dedicated PDA offers.

I use the calendar on my iPod touch, and then, when things get really busy (school work, mostly) I write all my assignments on a piece of paper with progress bars next to them. I keep it in my pocket, then I fill them in the bars as I go.

I keep task lists for programming projects. When I have other things that I need to get done, I'll use my phone's calendar, and get an alert at the given time... of course sometimes I set it to go off too early, and I completely forget!

I have a good old fashioned white board in my room, with some dry wipe pens! Very useful for keeping track of homework and things.

Nah, not for me..
My actual desktop's enough of a clutter without adding virtual rubbish to my screen!!

I could do with a phone that actually lets me keep notes without needing 18 menu taps to get to them.

I just scribble things on a piece of paper... if I loose the paper, the past week may as well have not happened because I won't remember it!
