    Did everything turn out as planned?
    NeonPlat certainly did, nice and happy and bouncy and shiney!
    Shame it has no music. I'm really not in a very musical mood lately

    WarioWare was a little rushed, but turned out nicely.
    Although I'm still struggling to get into the mindset to get things clicking together.. As it is, most of my games make use of lots of little things that are in no way related to each other! They're just lots of seperate entities, all doing their own thing.

  • Worked more on animatronics project
  • Modelling terrain
  • More electronics (Building a E-Bow for roommate)

    Did everything turn out as planned?
    1 and 2, yes! turned out quite nice. I finally stopped being lazy and started up on my projects again. I started modelling, and made a weird biomechanical creature with what appears to be a gun barrel for a body- Could be used as some kind of sentry.

    As for #3, no. We didn't have the right parts and ended up burning myself again on hot resistors - stupid electronics.

  • Paying for summer holiday

    Why not?
    Bank fucked up my funds, so i'm 100 USD short, which isn't too hard but makes me second-guess my funds for my upcoming summer break. If it happens next week, i'm raging out.

    Working on my engine, i haven't been in too much of a programming mood thanks to all of the tedious microcontroller crap i'm putting up with every day. Kills your mood when you're restricted to such a small space, trying to get it to work like how you're normally used to.

    What are you working on right now?
    Rigging up more of the animatronics

    How's that going?
    Fairly well. Need to adjust some cables and tighten up the design since some of the motion is restrictive, but overall it's coming together nicely - though the guy who sent me the servos scuffed one of the wires, so need to solder it back together - mind you, my arm is covered in white spots from getting splattered with hot rosin, so i cringe at that thought

    What did you get done this week.
  • I went back to Greenfoot work (was off during exams)
  • Went out quite a lot
  • Watched loads of Battlestar Galactica
  • Completed Resident Evil 5
  • Completed Medieval 2

    Did everything turn out as planned?
    The most important part was the Greenfoot, which went well. My boss and the other people there were very happy with what I had done and it should be published online soon for others to play with.

    Typically I am quite good at going out drinking. When I get home I have lots of water and rarely have a bad hangover. This week I've forgotten to do this, twice. On both occasions I just laid around watching TV, which is the main reason why I've been working through my Battlestar Galactica. But I'm loving it!

    I've had Medieval 2 for ages. My brother bought me two games for my birthday in March (one was RE 5) and I haven't been able to start on them until I had Medieval done. I've never completed a Total War game before (always got bored and just gave up) so it's nice to finally do it. But I think 40 hours is too long. Straight after I started on Resident Evil. An exceptionally well made game with piss-poor plot and script. I also only completed it last night.

    Why not?
    Bad planning. Too much TV, going out and games. I did get lots of Greenfoot work done, just not quite the amount I had originally planned (I like turning up to meetings with several things to mention).

    My business plan has been on hold for a month now because of my exams. Now they are over I really should be getting on with it, but I just don't seem motivated enough (see next section).

    What are you working on right now?
    I'm currently revamping the StudioFortress site, getting it prepped for when the plan is done. This is the first job I was planning to do once my business started so it's not like I'm going that far off my plan.

    How's that going?
    I'm rebuilding the entire site on my local PC with the aim to clear the current hosting (including the DB) and replace it with this copy. This is both to get in place a good development process (a 100% local working version of the site that can be rolled out) and to avoid having it half built for days.

    The new design itself is more streamlined, modern and most of all better then the current one. Right now this second I am adding the two background gradients but I dunno if I like having them both. It's looking a bit too gridenty. Plus still tonnes left to do!
