Does anyone remember an old windows or dos game where you were a stick man on some lined paper and you went to the moon and gravity was similar to Mario Galaxy and you could go full circle round the moon ?

|edit|
And there were craters and flags I think, you had to collect stuff, stars or coins or something. I think there was buildings.
It was back in the XP days, or possibly before, maybe late 90's, early 2000's?
I think also there was an elevator to the moon, but if you ran down to the bottom of the moon, you could jump back down to earth and in the process flip around so you were the right way up.

oh, it was a 2d platformer type thingy.

I sort of remember a game like that. As for the name of it though, my collander-esque memory is proving to be rather effective.

It might have looked a little like this...

Only with less stolen clipart...

|edit| I tried doing an image search based off the above mockup, all google gave me was graphs.

Did the planet rotate as you walked, or did the chr walk around the static planet?

the player walked round the moon I think. I think I remember if you walk around to the bottom, you could jump off and land back on earth....

4 years? Talk about tenacity!

Glad you found it. Have an old DOS golf game I wish I could find and it has driven me crazy for 20+ years that I can't remember the name of it. It was a 3D golf game and it was first person -- you were the golf ball. Cool as could be.

I just looked at that, interesting. Fave computer golf game remains the original Mario Golf for the Gameboy. When I moved here, I left behind a huge collection of golf board games, golf dice games and golf card games and electronic handheld golf games.

I love Mario Golf on the N64 - awesome game (from the creators of the rather excellent "Everybody's Golf" on PS1).

NES Golf on the original NES was pretty awesome, too. Off to look for emulators...
