Do you ever drink LILT - the drink with the ’’Totally tropical taste’’? You won't for much longer - Linkage Or will you...

I'd rather run a Marathon than drink a rebranded Lilt.

I assume to cut down on costs by enabling them to use dubbed foreign adverts.

Yeah, it'll be all about the money.

I imagine a worlwide brand is cheaper to maintain than individual products which are all exactly the same. It also means that they can change the flavour (by using cheaper/different ingredients), as technically it will be a new drink and not Lilt, without complaint.

I think Lilt's a worldwide brand, isn't it?
It'll be more about the fact they can then say "Fanta, in all these great flavours" all in one ad, without having to piss about with Lilt on the side.
They'd probably do it with Dr Pepper, too, except that in the US, Pepsi own Dr Pepper, making for a really odd set of circumstances.

Also, I've had the Lilt song stuck in my head all night.

I hasn’t had a Lilt in years, can’t recall ever seeing it here... googling now.

Wiki states: sold only in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Gibraltar and the Seychelles

How odd. Could've sworn I've seen it in tv shows and things but, meh, whatever!

Nah, Lilt has never been a worldwide thing. Fanta is though (180 countries, apparently). It makes sense to add it to the range tbh.
