advancements in my field? I workd in a shop, those 'advancements' are 'you have to remember more and more stuff to try an sell to the customer because they make more profit that what they came in to buy' I can't keep up with those.

Trends were always fun at the shop.
A trend would happen, kids would get into a cool little toy thing, or new stickers, or pogs, or whatnot.. Three months later my Boss would stumble upon a cheap "current trend thing" at the cash and carry, and buy fucktons, just as the trend was starting to wain, and then we'd end up with boxes of crap in the back office for the next year and a half until the next trend popped up.

I keep well behind them a good few years behind, e-commerce means it has to work for older browsers and, we get a lot of older customers so, yeah.
