Or you can get it for just £1,600 by spreading the payments over...the next 3 years.. wow. Not even klarna, etc do that bad a deal on that sort of service.

Amazon will let you split it into 5 "easily manageable" monthly payments of over £250 a month, so .. \o/yeay\o/..

I must admit, I'm kinda tempted to get a new MacMini, depending on the price.
The one I currently have is "ok", but .. my god, hard drives are noisy buggers, aren't they?!

But the Mac Mini would be less than £50,000 so Amazon might not do the 5 month thing on that.

That mac mini does look very cute though.

But, I'll stick with what I have for the moment I think.

Dawww, it is very cute.........

So, I've decided not to immediately buy a Switch 2. Nothing against it, but I'm not really playing much lately, and the prospect of spending that much on a game system that only, really, I would play Mario Kart on...
... ??..

So, instead, then..

Oops!

I've named it "ALBox", and it'll be my A.I. Supercomputer for the next few years.. Assuming it can keep generating content every day for the blog, and doesn't crap it's pants trying...

I've set it up as a new system, as opposed to being a replication of the MacBook. It's pretty much as-is when unboxed, but has had DrawThings popped on for artsying, and a new tool I found yesterday, LMStudio for Chatting to.
Other than that, it's currently sat on a desk that I never use, and I'm thinking that .. Maybe it's time I started to sit at a desk more?
,,,
Maybe..?

Before I do that, though, I need a better chair, a better keyboard and a better monitor, because.. Man, it is ever hard sitting on a wooden stool for as long as I did, yesterday, trying to use a 720p TV as a Mac Monitor, and using the large keyboard that I have on my desk currently.

... I mean, there's nothing "wrong" with the keyboard, but because it's as long as it is, and the monitor-shelf is as curved as it is, tapping from left to right causes a see-saw effect and it's louder than using a 1970's mechanical keyboard as a result!

So, um.. yeah.

Cost : The lowest end model (16Gb, 256Gb storage) is currently £539 on the Amazon, down from £599.
I'm paying over 5 months, so it's actually just under £110 a month, which fits neatly under the insanely increased bills that shot up this month.

Honestly, figured it better to grab one now whilst I can, before Tariff-o-rama makes it damn near impossible to buy anything.

Had a play around with DrawThings on the MacMini M4, running the Flux model natively. (About 2 minutes per image, mind!!)
Picture-heavy blog post, where I tried out a bunch of different options and settings and the like.

Logitech K380s Pebble Key 2, and M350s Pebble Mouse 2.

A lovely combo!

Can be paired with three different systems, too, which is a nice feature. I can essentially KVM between the Mac and the ROGAlly, with only a couple of toggles on the Keyboard+Mouse.

I have the pebble mouse too, love it. Really handy being able to switch between different computers. Keyboard looks interesting too - labelled up for PC and Mac and US and UK keys! Although good that it has the UK layout for the \ and enter keys. I can't get by with the smaller return key on a US keyboard.

I've recently bought the 8bitdo Commodore style keyboard now it has a UK layout. Nice and clicky and very comfortable to type on, comes with a pointless joystick and two huge buttons that have remained in the box!

Looks like a nice keyboard, but it'd have the same issue that my previous keyboard did, in that it's too wide to fit onto the Monitor Shelf, which is neatly hiding the A600 under it.
Typing on it was wonky as all hell, as it see-sawed side to side!

This one's nice and neat, and the little keys are quiet, too, so I can hammer out code in a mostly silent fashion

Yes, that's an advantage. I'm replacing a nice low profile silent Microsoft keyboard which is probably the best keyboard I've ever owned (I have two, one found in a charity shop). This one is really nice too, and where the it's located does not bother anyone with the click sounds. Although the clicks aren't loud.

The pebble looks really nice to type on.

There's a slightly larger version of it, with replaceable keycaps, and the cursor keys are full sized instead of those silly half-size ones.
.. but my laptop is also the half-size ones, and I figured switching between the two would do my head in, so I opted for this one instead.
