Something Something Plat

JNKPlat = Puzzle Platformer, emphasis on Puzzle
Platdude = "proper" platformer, but I still haven't successfully done one yet!
NeonPlat = Arcade Single-screen platformer.

There's something else gnawing away in my head, tonight.

For a long while, I've been annoyed that I can't quite get a good Platdude game on the iPhing.
JNKPlat kinda half works, but... eeeuuuwww. touchscreen buttons.
There are annoying complications with it's methods.

I've tried tilt, and although that kinda helps control the game, it also ends up giving you Analogue controls which, in the world of JNKPlat, just doesn't work at all.

Tonight, for whatever reason, (It's midnight, I'm not tired!) I've started to think backwards.
What if you DIDN'T control Platdude?

Where would such a trail of thought end up?
And, could I somehow create a multiplatform edition, recreating the exact same game for iPhings, PMC, and BlitzMax?
Is that even doable?!

My head's whirring away, and I'm getting the urge to load up Blitz.

Tomorrow's my day off from PMC/AGameADay, and since I'm still waiting for my latest iOS Apple Review, I guess I've also got a day off from iDev.

.. an idea is forming, and Jay is interested in seeing what it is.
