I don't see a link. The claim might be a fake. *** The claim is incorrect. On the Adobe site there's a message that CS2 in NOT free. forums.adobe.com/thread/1114930 www.gizmodo.co.uk/2013/01/grab-photoshop-and-cs2-for-absolutely-free-right-now/ ** I found other links to the software and it appears that it is for those that already have a license. It might still run but might be considered the same as pirating. I have not downloaded the software to check the state after running. With some luck though, it might run forever but not technically in a legal sense. Would be better than pirate Bay. -=-=- DNA |

You're right about using Gimp. I do not need the CS2 package although a part of it would be good. Still, I do have a license for Photoshop though it's not CS2. -=-=- DNA |

Does Gimp do seam carving yet? That's the only feature in PhoShop I'd like to have in my old PSP9.

According to Wikipedia, it's synonymous to Content-Aware Scaling. That means that, while scaling, the important bits of the image get to keep their original size.

I've never heard of it before. I'll have to look into it since it might be another good technique for me to use. *** I looked it up on Wikipedia and the example it gave was uninteresting. It can escalate toward an huge amount. More than a company can afford.  And what about Cloud computing? I'm waiting for the first lawsuits where clients have lost stuff (either totally lost or used elsewhere) as a result of a Cloud-based service. It's going to happen. We're already seeing some photo-sites using users' photos/images/media without their permission in advertising and such. |
