Ordered some photo mugs from Vistaprint... fuck my life... looks like they've been printed by a fucking toddler! Whole lot are going back.

I ordered a photomug for my wife for Xmas (not from VistaPrint BTW) and got a cushion cover. Great.
The picture on it looks like it might have been done by your VistaPrint guys though...

The photos (we did a collage-type thing) haven't been cropped to a neat rectangle - there are photo edges sticking out all over the place, despite the site showing a border where the print would come up to - it was fine in the pre-purchase preview! As for the picture quality, on some photos they've given everybody red faces, while other photos are all pale and washed out. The original photos weren't like that at all.

Even the mugs are crap quality. Paid extra for coloured handles and there are blemishes all over with the white showing through. Looks to me like there were air bubbles in the paint when they were fired.

First and last time I'll use Vistaprint.

My company does printing, though, not mugs at the moment. I wouldn't dream of letting items of that quality go out to customers. But then I value my reputation. Vistaprint clearly don't value their own.

I still have my Platdude shirts from VistaPrint, from about 8 or so years ago!!
Look great!

Last year's Platdude Xmas Xards were also from Vistaprint.

... but .. yeah, never tried mugs.
I’ll stay clear of those!

You might not think to do it this way, but the supermarkets like Tesco do things like customised mugs and calendars on their online stores and they're not bad at all.

Probably more expensive in bulk compared to companies that specialise in it, I don't know, but good for one offs when you've already paid for delivery on your shopping anyway.

I also recommend Tesco. I had to get a load of staff photos done for work that were odd sizes to fit on the the photo board for our service users and visitors. They did it perfectly and dirt cheap. I did it in-store, instantly, so no postage costs, delays or anything.

Yeah, had them from Tesco before and they were fine. But Vistaprint had a special offer on, so...

Expected far better, with the amount they must spend on TV advertising.
