IE9 - Good?

https://www.downloadsquad.com/2010/03/16/internet-explorer-9-html5-video-faster-than-chrome-and-much/
DownloadSquad are suggesting that IE9's actually quite fast.

Really!?!?!

The IE keynotes are always over-rated.

I remember IE 8 was suppose to pass acid 3 tests. It didn't.

The lack of the acid 3 test passes isn't the only overrated aspect. Although yes it'll be ultra fast with hardware accelerated 2D and text, FireFox has this too in it's trunk and I believe Opera as well. It'll only be a matter of time (if not already) that Safari and Chrome will be also be stepping up to the mark.

So essentially were getting nothing that any other browser doesn't already have. This is why IE is failing these days because it's not leading the industry, it's following.

It's not even following, it's just sort of jogging occasionally to see everyone else on the horizon.

Anyone else noticed a HUGE number of IE adverts since the whole "Ballot Box" thing appeared?

No, but again it's following Google's advert initiative.
