Data Files for games28th May 2011 I do like the idea of using plain text, and being able to do whatever you want. Perhaps you can make it use text files, but have built-in libraries to use other formats properly. It would be as simple as parsing a text file with some built-in XML parser o*snip* |

Gameplay: RPG combat without magic28th April 2011 You can always have non-magical items (perhaps ones with infinite uses) that spice up combat a bit. Perhaps a smoke bomb that disorients the enemy with a loud noise and blinds them. Steal ideas from Pokémon and adapt them. |

Portal 2 Spoilery/Discussion Stuff22nd April 2011 Portal 2, as well as Left 4 Dead, both use a .vpk instead of a .gcf to store data like sound data and such. Perhaps they use the same engine? Or am I just outright wrong? |
