FAR V.3 archives

Personal closure

Finally!
After fiddling around with different types of code for literally months, I discovered the solution to successfully decompressing entries in FAR V.3 archives.
The solution, it turns out, was a slightly modified version of the SimPE extraction routines.

As you can see, the decompressed images contain alot of artifacts, but I'm hoping that some more fiddling around will take care of this.

Finally I can write the tool I've been dreaming about for a long time: TSOEdit (The Sims Online Edit).
Once I add the specific information to my wiki, it also means that my 'The Sims Technical Wiki' will most likely be the most complete wiki on the net for the technical aspects of The Sims [Online].
