Storyboard!

I'm putting my drawings where my mouth is...

I finally decided to put my drawings where my mouth is, and make a short movie. This will by far be the longest movie I've ever made... if I complete it. I'm thinking of basically spending the next year on it.
As part of the development and planning process, I'm currently drawing storyboards and putting them together into a pre-vis movie-thingy.

Download here!

Can anyone tell me the name of the story (it's a fairly well-known fairytale)?

... obviously this is not done yet. I've decided to only draw the key elements that tie the story together first, and then supply with more storyboards as needed.

Oh yeah and for obvious reasons I didn't upload this to YouTube yet. I'm thinking of submitting this to film-festival(s) next summer...

And the movie is going to be in HD, so all the images have been scaled to size. The final output isn't very big though. 2,7 megs so far.

I thought I'd mention that forest has 1 'r'. I'll be interested to see how the final piece ends up

hmmm.....In a desperate attempt to cash in on their life insurance policies, and protect his own cash-strapped failed existence, he murders his family by burying small explosives into the ground, then setting them off... This causes a curiously small fire that burns his house down to the ground, leaves his wife dead on the floor, and the children missing (probably turned to cinders), and him crying into his own miserable hands, in a desperate attempt to fool the police into thinking it wasn't him that did it..

Is it "Cinderella"?

Nope, not Cinderella!

Here's a hint: It's one of the few fairytales that hasn't been exploited by Disney yet. Or by Dreamworks (though it was probably referenced in Shrek somewhere, I don't recall...).

I'll be posting progress reports and whatnot...

There's no need to comment if you're going to be a dick about it... seriously.
