Try launching more than one instance of something and then you'll learn my daily pain. Apple H/W is lovely. Apple S/W and O/S are fucking shite

Also, that "beachball" - get used to it. As your mac gets "older" it'll be more and more apparent.

Yes, I too enjoyed the thrill of MacOS for a short while. Until I tried using it properly, instead of just as a device for compiling.

The comfort of the familiar, my favourite tools, and my learned habits drew me back to Windows, to the point that my MacMini now pretty much only runs Windows via BootCamp.

Hope it works out for you, I've tried it out a few times but it never really gels with me.

Web / Game Dev, occasionally finishes off coding games also!

There isn't enough money in the world to get me to switch properly. My MacMini has been stuck up in the loft for a couple of years now - I couldn't even be arsed to use it as a media player.

I went for the 27" Imac. I have some genuine needs for MacOS but so far I really enjoy the OS. My Windows PC is sat just beside it so I won't be missing anything.

Couple of things I've noted so far:

I have no idea how Apple charges 80 quid for the magic keyboard. It's absolutely shite! The caps key is especially bad. Doesn't seem to recognise every key press.

Getting an app out of full screen is a real pain

Why tf are the app settings up in the top left corner of the screen??? Took me ages to find the arduino preferences.

LOL @ menu.
Yep, that takes some getting used to.
It IS a standard thing, though, so once you do get used to it, it's quite handy.

Well, it's been almost a week with the iMac. I had a free online session with an Apple "Genius" where she helped fill in any gaps of information I didn't pick up myself. She showed me Spotlight (Which is bloody amazing!), how to set up multiple desktops and whatnot and a few other bits. I definitely feel more confident around the OS and I'm growing to like it. It's definitely helped expose a few flaws with windows that I hadn't noticed before!
