(Less) Simple BAT command promt

Command prompt bat file.

Updated - XPrompt 0.4.6.3

MS DOS BATCH file. Save as "xprompt.bat"

My command prompt code has been updated to contain a few more features, which although aren't that important, demonstrate the expandability of this method of doing the command prompt from a batch script. I plan to add more extended functions later.

Type "GOTO XHELP" for a list of functions
Type "GOTO XABOUT" for information

Hoboben, I don't mean to embarrass you but, if you open notepad and type in command.com then save it as anything.bat, then you have a mini command prompt.

Much easier if you ask me.

Cheers, skypenguin... I didn't know that. I'm glad to have learned - and I'll try that too.

Magicman - try to exploit a bug in some versions of Websense (if that's what you're using) by accessing this site as www.socoder.co.nr/?b=0

The dynamic php variable at the end, even though it's meaningless, fools some censors.

If that doesn't work, I'll post the link to an IP based web proxy that I have saved in my school account's files somewhere.

well, iv decided that proxys arnt a very good idea anymore, they have been cracking down on them pretty heavly, all the ones that people use to use have been blocked and people have gotten in trouble, so now its purely up to hacking. ill try the socoder.co.nr/?b=0. it use to be i could get on here, but then when we changed servers it says the phoenixoft.com has porn.....

hey,

thanks pengy. I didn't know.

I typed in command.com and saved the file
as penguin.bat
I then double clicked the batch file. It ran with the Dos box and command prompt. Wowzie, I did't know that.

cheers,

Hey,

I noticed the one skypenguin suggested used DOS filename systems rather than legible windows ones...

So, if you have all the time in the world, mine is cooler.

Instead of command.com, just try cmd
That gives you WinXP-DOS instead of Ye-Olde DOS

whether cooler or not,

I like skypenguins. Faster and easier. And even Jays suggestion is even quicker and easier than skypenguins.

true.

yet and however, yours is more original and involves code.
so some kudos for you.

cheers hobo,

sheesh!,

um where is my smiley? where is my smiley? though, I'd rather have a couple of rounds of Zima with you.

well, I shouldn't ask you...as well as on other things too. I guess. Like on some other things...whenver you want and like.

Oh, gosh, I'm sorry... I forogt to ": - )" my cheers.

I was probably reading or replying to your e-mails at the time though... sending e-mails packed full of extra smilies. Maybe that'll make up for it.

Cheers, mousey

Updated with new version.

It's ready to be expanded with extra functions.
