Ooopsy, missed a week! no matter, twice as much to rant about, now!

    Yep!

    I'm also quite happy that people have already managed to complete the full iOS game.
    I was a bit worried that it might be a little TOO hard, there, but people are coping, so that's all good!
    Meanwhile, sales have been a bag of shit.

    Only one thing to do... Make more levels!


    Puzzobomb required some tweaking. Due to it's image based levels, it had a really obscure quirk, whereby occasionally the browser didn't actually bother to load the image, causing the game to go into some crazy psycho mode!
    I'm not sure how DD's server handles my current (Just keep reloading the fucker!) method, so.. possibly something to look into, there..
    Feel free to "fix" my game, DD! (It's at the bottom, in the GetLevel bit)

  • I'm only about 45 levels into Sheep Pack 2

    I really wanted to make 100 more levels, but it's been slow going.
    Trying to add new objects, test them, and be sure they work the way they're meant to, into both the WiLMa and iOS editions, simultaneously, is really not an easy thing to do!!

    Because I updated the iPod and XCode to the new iOS5 thing, I now have to damn well uninstall iOS5 XCode and reinstall the iOS4 XCode (4.5gb download) before my compiled game is allowed to be upped to Apple.
    But then I'm also going to have to have BOTH installed so that it all works properly, because my new iOS5 iPod can't be recognised by iOS4 XCode, so I can't test any compiles on my own device if I only have iOS4 XCode installed...

    What did you get done this week.
  • Working on Snow, transitioning the project entirely to iOS 5 since it won't be done before iOS 5 is out, so might as well. This has resulted in a huge reduction in the amount of code I have to write, so booyah to that.
  • Built a bunch of crap in Minecraft

    Did everything turn out as planned?
    Snow doesn't quite work anymore since the transition, since I've had to rebuild some things from the ground up. Not really the fault of iOS 5, they were just bits of code that needed to be gutted and replaced with nice, oily machine bits.

    Minecraft turned out fine, though it ate into my coding time.
