I'm using an Xbox Classic pad, which is the "Who are you kidding? It's just a black Dreamcast pad with an extra stick!!" version before they switched it for the "Um... Yeah.. This one's smaller, so we'll go for that one instead.." variation.

The stick has a remarkable Dreamcast like circular perimeter to it.

I think most have circular, to be honest. The only joypad I can think of with anything else are the Nintendo pads, with the octagonal 8-way stick, and 1970's style joysticks that had the square base.. I think I have one of those somewhere, but I can't remember the last time I had a Gameport!

As far as I'm aware my Logitech Dual Action gamepad has a square perimeter. Certainly draws a square in Blitz...

This topic sounds so gross if you take it wrong.

I've got a Genius USB F23, which does like a sort of square, with sort of roundish corners. And as far as joysticks are concerned, this one is pretty crap.

It looks something like a flight sim stick, with a POV thumb thingy stuck on it, has seven buttons, one trigger and two slider/thumb wheel thingies.

When I ran the JoyX()/JoyY() example in Blitz, the numbers never go back to their original numbers when I let go of the stick.

I think I will "stick" (Pun Intended) with my Logic-3 Digital Pad.
