Still $1.99 a pound for boneless, skinless chicken breasts at my local stores. Prices never really increased too much due to Covid, nor where there shortages, only at the major chains.

Yes, food isn't that pricey. Just their food! I honestly have no bloomin' idea why that is.
FWIW : A full chicken from our local Tesco is typically about £4. at the minute, though it seems to fluctuate a bit wildly, lately.
