Jay and hyrule,
(and others here included too):

check this out. I did and it blew me away on the Nintendo Wii.

games.slashdot.org/games/06/12/06/1641229.shtml

I suppose, ...I was a little hasty. The price of the console is good. Yet, I don't really like the controllers and the thought of doing video game aerobics....I get enough exercise and moving about from work. I do some isometrics and walking too. And also its still the price of all the games.
I talked with a guy at work who has a Nintendo Wii and he plugged in other Nintendo compatible controllers and that they work with the games that he has.
I just wonder if all the games will work with other Nintendo controllers...such as a Gamecube controller or even a gamepad of some kind.

Maybe rather than buying a whole lotta of games I just purchase a few now and then...and far in-between.
Naybe the Wii is the start of a new revolution.

cheers,

it can use gamecube controllers, for some games and virtual console games but most will use the wiimote and nunchuck

The Cube Controller ports at the top are there, mostly for Gamecube games. It's a side effect that they can be used on Virtual games, and others that support them.

But SOME Virtual games don't even like the cube controllers..
Most Genesis titles (at launch, haven't checked lately, will do tomorrow if it turns up) specify the Virtual Controller, NOT the Cube one.

...
Get a Wii, already

alright.

I have always been a Nintendo boy....with the exception of being an Atari 2600 kiddie too. Didn't really like Playstation and XBox that much either.

but...but after the Christmas shopping rush. Who knows?. Maybe there will be special package deals.

Yet and hopefully..there better be some good adventure and RPG titles for me to select from. And I'm not talking about the fourth or fifth sequel or installment of Zelda or Mario RPG adventure either.
Some good or cool Might and Magic like games or games ported over such as isometrical Diablo-like clones or even Divine Divinity. hey!?, hey you...pssst....pssst...the white cat. I also like to see Titan Quest or similar ported over too.
