Damn! thats a good desktop! Id have insane computers but i dont really have the money. Plus, i think that its a good thing for programmers computers not to be to crazy because if we have such amazing computers our programs may not run as well because the avarage person dosnt have 3 gigs of ram and cant handle what ours can.

HoboBen
Hmmm, the wild and wonderful exotic computers of HoboBen.

In order of crapiness:

Old Apple (Origionally an OS 9 box)
Apple OS X 10.2
350 Mhz Processor
256 MB RAM <-- (That's quite good, too bad about the processor)
Unknown gfx card (think either 4 or 8 MB)
6.3 GB Hard Drive
French Keyboard
Status: Surviving, screen on the way out. I like it though.

PC (Dead!)
Windows 98 / Ubuntu 6.06
551 Mhz Processor
192 MB RAM
8 MB Integrated Gfx Card <-- (Failing)
20 GB Hard Drive <-- (DEAD, holds the OS's)
+60 GB Hard Drive <-- (Holds the files, but I can't get it out of the machine!)
Staus: DEAD. Can check e-mails with Damn Small Linux though.

Less Old Mac
OS X 10.3.9
800 Mhz Processor
512 MB RAM
32 MB nVIDIA gfx card
40 GB Hard Drive
232 GB Hard Drive (External)
Status: Needs software re-install (cluttered)

Laptop (Yeay!)
Ubuntu 7.04 / Occasionally Windows XP (Home) with Damn Small Linux emulated on Windows
Intel Centrino Duo Processor (2 x 1.66 Ghz)
505 MB RAM (533 MHz, DDR2) (I'd love to upgrade this to 1GB)
128 MB Integrated Gfx (Usually 64 MB, if it needs more, it pinches more RAM, up to 500MB)
40 GB Hard Drive (Very fast RPMs though)
232 GB External Hard Drive
1.4 GB of Linux Swap space
DVD/CD-RW Drive
Status: I'm in love!

Here I go (everyone knows I have the crap computer, but thus proving you don't need a high end computer to develop).

16" Inch Monitor
Windows XP Professional [Modified, for Speed]
Intel [Unsure On Model] Processor running at 250 Mhz's
3 Sticks RAM totaling 88 MB's
Onboard Sound [Unsure on Brand]
Off Brand PCI Ethernet Card
Off Brand Keyboard [But Works Nice, Elegant, Never Failed]
Logitech Optical USB Mouse [Works, But Craps Out Sometimes]
OEM, Basic CD Drive

Firefox [Latest Version]

It's been modified so its dead quiet. Hardly a hum. Which is good at night. The mouse clicking is louder than the tower, heh.

@ garand...

Although you have quite a lot, I think that you have done a very good job keeping it neat and tidy.

Ooh what fun!

WinXP sp2, AMD64 3800+ 2.41ghz, 2gb ram, 160gb HDD, Radeon x700, 17'' monitor and I got the same printer as garand!

wacom tablet A3 and A6.

Mobo that complains about chip fan failure everytime I start it up.

I actually cleaned my desk recently.

Notably, under the table is an accident waiting to happen. Plus I'm pretty big Naruto fan so I have 2 of the 6(?) head protectors <-- very cool!

Good man Instinct for not smoking, what ever you do, don't take up the habbit. I'm experienced enough to know that it's hard to quit. I quit smoking about 7 years ago, and it can take up to 15 years to clear out of your system completely. I used to be quite slim before and during when I smoked, when I gave up I became extremely overweight. That's what happens when you quit smoking on willpower alone.

File Server:
- Intel Pentium III 933Mhz (Coppermine core, 133Mhz FSB)
- 1024MiB SDRAM
- MSI-6198 Mainboard
- 8Mib Trident Blade 3D Video Card
- Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 40GB IDE Hard Disk
- Western Digital Caviar 40GB IDE Hard Disk
- Windows XP Home Edition
I've just ordered a new 250GB hard disk and a SATA controller for this computer, so soon it'll have much more storage. At that point, I'll also install Debian instead of WinXP.

Laptop:
- Apple iBook G4 (1.33GHz)
- 768MiB DDR RAM
- 40GB Hard Disk
- Airport Extreme card, DVD Combo drive, etc.
This computer isn't technically mine (as in, I don't own it), but the difference is fairly minor, since nobody else ever uses it.

I'll be posting pics of my bedroom (read: computing haven) later on, when I can be bothered. Also, these are just the computers in my bedroom. Another 3 are running somewhere in the house, and probably 2 more are in parts.
