Why?

Questions I have on my mind

Why is it that I never happened to live next to that oh so ordinary girl who eventually grew up to become oh so hot and started dating me like in the Hollywood movies?

Why is it that sometimes I feel lonely... seemingly more lonely than other people?

Why am I depressed?
Why am I not eating?
Why do I have trouble sleeping?

Why does it seem I have no friends (I wish I had the motivation to work, but the thought makes me (even more) depressed)?

Why can I never finish a project? *sigh*
Why does it seem I keep lacking inspiration?

What is love, why does it exist?
Why am I writing this?

All about love, again. Poor Afro, never having the luck you hope for.
I'm sure you've heard that life'll get better a million times before, but it will.

If you can't sleep, do something in the interim. Play some games, read a book, maybe even some coding if you're up to it.

If you can't eat. . Well.. I honestly can't say I've ever been depressed enough to not eat! I'm not fat! I just don't not eat!

Things'll turn out alright.
Just let life exist around you, and it'll start to be part of you. Don't chase after a "perfect" version of life, it almost never happens!

The first step in solving a problem is to admit you have it. Way to let it out Afro.

Sorry to hear you're feeling down, mate.

Have you considered getting a pet? Cats are great for cuddles and laughs - and easy to look after too.

Love is chemical.

Dopamine - Helps provide that feeling of first falling in love.

Norepinephrine - Provides the physical effects, including increased heart rate and weak knees.

Oxytocin - Makes love last. It replaces dopamine, as all that dopamine over the years could hurt the brain.

Those are a few of the major chemicals, among others. Science is fun.

But seriously, cheer up man. This has gone on for a long time now. Start exercising, get a pet (both relieve stress), meet new people, join clubs or a gym...If you're still feeling like this it's because YOU haven't done enough to fix it. Plus, don't rush love just for the sake of having it. The real good kind you'll just find.

Our family's had a dog for a long time. He's great. I love him to bits, but I love animals in general too.
I started going to the gym in the summer, and I've been going since. Twice every week.
What's with these chemicals? Can you get them at the apothecary?

Let's not have you a druggie. Don't bother.

Dude these are questions I ask my self everyday. Except for the love one. I am married and in love with my wife. Funny enough I am almost depressed to some degree almost everyday. Its weird tho that every day it feels like I am by my self even tho I see and hear and interact with everyone. Its like I am not them or part of them. Its somethine that has bothered me since I was a wee little one. But alast as they said just let life exist around you. I have had no choice but to since my dad passed away 2 months ago and believe me it still hurts. Every time I turn around I am thinking about him and just can not believe that he is gone now. I am constantly looking up at the sky and find my self talking/screaming at him/god. Ok thats enough I have work to do. Before I start to have another fit.

I hope you start to feel better. Just remember that life is not as bad as it feels no matter what is going on. Its how you reflect on life is what matters. Make something of it. Grab it by the balls and make it scream! You have control. Do something about it!

|edit| Oh and I am going to do my own ball grabbing just as soon as all my dads accounts are acquired and closed and his head stone and his military medeals have come to me. Just a couple more weeks and my life can start to return to normal. |edit|

If this isn't a purely frivolous post you should consult your doctor, Afr0.

Depression is a recognized mental illness and not something to be taken lightly. It is fully treatable with medication.

True it shouldn't be something taken lightly but even a doctor will tell you that you won't need medicine untill it reaches a certain degree! But no one but you can decide that!
